Joana Ferreira, President of Cuida d’Bo
Stanhope Hotel
Joana Ferreira, the President of Cuida d’Bo, is a passionate advocate for women's health and empowerment. Originally from Braga in Portugal, she moved to Belgium 5 years ago and works professionally as a Commercial Learning and Development Specialist. Her employer – Hologic is a leading company specialised in health devices for women, such as mammography equipment. Her journey took a turn after a volunteer experience in Cabo Verde where she met many women who had never visited a gynecologist and lacked basic health education. Inspired to address this healthcare gap, she founded Cuida d’bo, which aims to improve access to essential health care and health education for women in Cape Verde (https://cuidadbo.org/).
